Our Grand rooms are a cut above, oozing with space and comfort. Elegantly appointed these rooms as with all of our rooms, feature the same décor, quality of furnishings, fixtures, fittings and sleep experience.
Local interior designer James Mackie has once more worked his magic… curtains, cushions and throws have been lovingly crafted using three bespoke Pendle Tweeds created by Benjamin Thornber & Sons, Clitheroe. The headboards have been made by Woodhutch of Burrow. The curtain poles and ironmongery hand crafted by Albion Ironworks of Lancaster, reflecting Hipping’s origins as a smithy all those years ago. The walls have been decorated with paint pigments exclusively created for us by local artists’ Pip Seymour and Rebecca Wallace; making use of minerals from the surrounding area, including Gritstone from Ingleton, Rudstone from the Lune Valley and Backbarrow Blue from the south of Windermere, with a little hint of sparkle added, in the form of recycled wine bottles from our cellars.
Each bathroom has also been lovingly decorated making the most of a range of natural materials and is completed with a range of natural bath and body products handmade by The Bath House of Sedbergh.
All you need do is little settle back and relax in one of our gloriously Grand rooms.
