There’s no doubt whatsoever that winemaker Carlo Meroni is continuing his family legacy… His wines are not for the faint hearted, they are big in every sense of the word, with a heady mix of aromas, including dusty cellars, exotic spices and tobacco mingled with hints of prunes soaked in Grappa…
Oli Martin is without any doubt one of the North West’s leading emerging chefs, having already bagged a whole host of accolades as well as three AA rosettes for culinary excellence… For the evening he will prepare a six-course tasting menu, carefully selecting only the best produce available from the three counties around Hipping, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria, to accompany six wines from the Meroni cellars.
Join us from 7.00pm, when Luca Dusi will talk to guests about his passion for Italian wine and makers such as Carlo, before Carlo himself introduces the first of the evenings wines…
We have rooms available from £349, which includes all the wines and the matched six-course tasting menu… not to mention the pleasure of listening to Carlo talk about his love of wine and food.
