Join us for a pastel masterclass led by one of the North West’s leading pastel artists Sandra Orme.
Sandra is an award-winning pastel artist who has exhibited with The Pastel Society at The Mall Galleries in London and teaches annually for The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. She is also an associate artist with one of the world’s best pastel makers, Unison Pastels. She is renowned for her dramatic skies over land and sea.
‘A Sense of Place’ is one-day course in creating stunning skies over dramatic landscapes. Whether you are new to art and pastels or an experienced pastellist, Sandra’s expert tuition will guide you through new ways of working with this wonderfully evocative medium. The theme of the course is the stunning setting of Hipping Hall, with the dramatic landscape and skies of the surrounding Pennine Hills.
Sandra will demonstrate different pastel techniques throughout the day on specialist pastel papers, so you get plenty of time to ask questions whilst watching her work. Each demo is followed by one to one advice on your own pieces as you develop your skills. There are just ten places on the course to ensure you enjoy the full benefit of her expert instruction. Sandra will help you create up to 3 unique pieces of work that explore the skies and landscape of this beautiful place.
