Phil Cubin joins Oli to create an evening of warming winter treats!
Following on from the success of last month’s dinner with Kirk Haworth, we are very excited to announce a further evening of gastronomic joy on Tuesday the 10th of November.
For our next extravaganza, all round good guy and perhaps South Cumbria’s most handsome chef, Phil Cubin will be teaming up with our very own Oli Martin. Phil has worked extensively throughout the Lake District, starting his career at the fabled Sharrow Bay on Ullswater. He then moved on to Gilpin Lodge where he became Head Chef, holding three prized AA rosettes. He then took on various consulting roles before taking on the exciting position of Development Chef at Michelin starred ‘The Samling’.
Oli and Phil met whilst at Gilpin Lodge where they forged a lasting friendship and respect. Over the past couple of weeks they’ve been working hard to put together a menu that intrigues and delights in equal measure.
The evening will start with canapes and a glass of fizz before moving through to the dining room where a roaring log fire and a multitude of courses awaits you. Each delicious course will be matched by a glass of something special, either made by the chefs themselves or chosen by our front of house team.
