Things to Do Near Hipping Hall Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club
Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club is an 18-hole course set in over 160 acres of the Lune Valley in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The course has spectacular views of the surrounding Middleton, Barbon and Howgill Fells from all parts of the course making Kirkby Lonsdale a very special place to play golf.
Visiting players are welcome all year round, there are excellent facilities on site for all ages and abilities including a full range of practice facilities, including an open-air driving range and short game chipping area. There is also a six-hole Academy Course ideal for juniors and those just beginning to learn the game.
Established over 25 years ago, the main club course has reached a level of maturity and conditioning that makes it a pleasure to play. The par 72 course measures 6244 yards from the daily tees. The Ladies course is 5734 yards (Par 73).
The course itself is set out in two anti-clockwise nine-hole loops that make full use of the natural landscape. The front nine crosses Barbon Beck and works its way down to the River Lune, before returning to the clubhouse. The back nine then heads north up the Lune valley, presenting you with spectacular views of the Howgill Fells at the high point of the course on the 15th green.
Electric buggies are available to hire if required, they are can be hired for £22 for 18 holes or £28 for a full day.
Visitor Green fees are £36 per round or £50 per day during the summer.
